July Empties!
I always see Youtubers and Bloggers upload and discuss all the products they’ve used up for the month and wonder how they used an entire bottle in one month! It takes me sooo long to go through a product, as I am quite conservative. I only ever squeeze out the exact amount I need and if I use too much, I put it back. It’s great for my bank account as my products last ages although you’ll probably see an empties post from me once every three months!
Anyway, I have finally reached the end of some products. Sometimes I can’t wait to finish up a product cause I’m over it and want to try something new. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for this month. I was sad to see these products run out but that just means it’s time to switch it up and see what else I can fall in love with.
Here’s my empties!

Batiste Medium & Brunette Dry Shampoo
RRP $12.95
This stuff is my ride or die. I don't know what I’d do without this dry shampoo. I’ve tried so many different brands but this one is hands down my favourite. I prefer getting the tinted one as it doesn’t leave white patches on my hair that are sometimes hard to blend away. This product takes away all oiliness. I’ve used it one three even four, day old hair (whilst camping) and it brings it back to life making it look freshly washed and smelling amazing. You definitely need to try this brand!
Bioderma Hydrabio Micellar Water
RRP $31.99
I was so excited when got this little sample in my July Bellabox as I’ve been eager to try Bioderma for a while but the price tag out me off. Of course I used it straight away to see what all the fuss was about. This stuff is amazing! It took off my waterproof mascara and brows effortlessly. I didn’t have to scrub back and forward to get it all off. I held the cotton round with product on it on my eye for a few seconds, wiped it away with a few more swipes and it was gone! This product is definitely worth the price tag!
Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water
RRP $5.99
I’ve loved the Simple range for years as they have always done wonders for my sensitive skin. When I saw that they had released their own Micellar water, I just had to try it. This cleanser is so gentle and kind to the skin and does a fantastic job at budging any stubborn makeup. It did take a little longer than the Bioderma one, but it got the job done and not all Micellar waters I’ve tried can do that. I used this one to get all the makeup off my face before cleansing and it came off without scrubbing or irritation. This is definitely my favourite affordable Micellar water!
Derma|e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask
RRP $34.95
I LOVE this mask. I spoke about how amazing this is in my May Bellabox post when I received it and my opinion is still the same. Usually I break out from charcoal masks but my skin loves this one. I love the concept with this mask as it’s not like any mask I’ve used before. Once the mask is applied and dried you reactivate the mask by wetting it and then the little exfoliating beads (not plastic) are used like an exfoliating wash. It's a 2 in 1! Once I’ve used this mask my skin feels amazing. Sometimes I get the odd blemish the next day, but that's just the mask doing its job!
Essence Multi-Action Volume Mascara
RRP $4.25
I used to swear by this mascara as the wand is perfect, the colour is nice and black and the price tag is very appealing. Although one day when I was wearing it I noticed that it was flaking down my face. I’d never noticed it before, maybe because I don't usually wear it for long periods of time but unfortunately this ruined it for me. If a mascara is flaky not only does it look tacky when it does but the flakes can go into my eyes and irritate my contacts. I won’t be repurchasing this again, although if you don’t wear contacts or don’t wear makeup for hours on end, give this a try as I did really love it!
Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray (Oil-Control)
RRP $49
Lucky last. If your active in the makeup Youtube and Blogging world, you’re probably very familiar with this product as it is used and spoken about quite often. I decided to try the oil-control version as I purchased it last summer and was interested to see how it lasted. It did a fantastic job and I was using it everyday I wore foundation in Summer and on nights out. I am devastated that it has run out as it’s not a cheap product to replace. I have been trying a few others so keep your eyes out for my comparison!
I hope you enjoyed this post as it’s something a little different. I’d love to know what you thought! If you’ve tried any of these products leave your thoughts in the comments below as I’d like to know how they worked for you.
