Buy or BYE?! - $1 Ebay Liquid Lipsticks

Liquid lipsticks are one of the most talked about and popular products on the market in the beauty world. They are easy to apply and travel with and they have the best longevity on the lips, as apposed to a regular bullet lipstick in my opinion!

I have seen many girls write and talk about how much they love these $1 Ebay liquid lipsticks. I wondered how a product that is that cheap and manufactured in China be that great. I watched copious reviews, googled swatches and finally decided to pick up a few shades to see what the fuss is all about. Boy am I glad I did!

These liquid lipsticks retail for $1 on Ebay and are matte which last FOREVER on the lips. I had to use pure coconut oil to make these babies budge. They have amazing longevity as they lasted through drinks, dinner and chit chat and were on the lips for about 8+ hours.

Majority of the shades are opaque although I found the lighter shades to be a little sheer. Some have a thinner consistency and others have a mousse consistency which I prefer. Here are the shades. I’ve numbered them in case you want to grab any shade I have written about.

As with every product, we always have our favourites. Hands down number 03, 18, 22 and 26 where my faves. They are gorgeous colours that are flattering to my skin tone and features.

01 - This shade was quite streaky and thick and stayed tacky for a while on my lips too. Unfortunately this shade is definitely not one I'd wear, unless I was heading to a dress up party or similiar!

03 - Is a gorgeous neutral pink. Looks amazing on the lips and was quite opaque. This shade dried down matte quite quickly

08 - This shade is a bold pink. Not something I would lean towards everyday, although I'll definitely get some wear out of it.

10 - This shade to my surprise ended up being a metallic. It didn't look like it when I picked it. I'm not too sure if this is something I'd rock but I'll see. It ended up being quite sheer too, so it would be good as a top coat to add a metallic sheen to a lipstick

18 - This is a stunning light pink nude which gives me so much life as you can tell by my facial expression. I think the picture explains how gorgeous it is. My fave!

21- Is a bold peachy pink tone. I felt it made my teeth look a little yellow so I might not wear this one until I've done my teeth whitening system. Gorgeous colour though!

22 - Very different to Kylie Jenners' 22! This shade is a deep purple which screams winter to me. I have worn this so many times and just love how it looks on me. I recommend!

26 - This shade is a mid tone peach which is a beautiful summery shade. It also makes my teeth look a little yellow but I know I'll get plenty of wear out of this during Summer.

Overall, I really love these liquid lipsticks and have found myself leaning toward them much more than I thought. The colours are really beautiful and don’t feel cheap and nasty. If you aren’t a fan of a complete matte lip, I suggest popping a thin layer of lip balm underneath to nourish your lips and to prevent them from drying out as quick. It really helps!
