Good Green Box Launch!
When it comes to beauty products, I tend to lean towards natural products with minimal chemicals as I have quite red, sensitive skin that I need to cater for. Products that are highly fragrant or riddled with harsh chemicals, break my skin out and leave it bright red, inflamed and quite painful. No thanks!
The downside of having sensitive skin – well one of many downsides – is not being able to ‘try before you buy’. The amount of skincare and beauty products that I have purchased and have left me with a horrible, painful reaction is ridiculous. Thank goodness for Good Green Box!
Good Green Box is a monthly subscription service that specialises in either natural, organic, vegan or cruelty-free products. Each month the box will contain a combination of beauty, skin care, hair care and nail care samples to trial that are designed to bring out the best you! For people like me, Good Green Box allows me to try a range of natural products at an affordable cost. I’d much rather pay $25 for a range of products than for one full size product that breaks me out!
May was the first month of the all natural box and boy did it contain some amazing products. I have been testing these products over the last few weeks and can’t wait to share my thoughts!

Manuka Biotic Face Cleanser – Infused with Manuka honey, this face cleanser already had me hooked before I even tried it! There was one use in this pack and that's all it took, as I am sold. This is product left my face feeling clean and looking great after use and I didn’t break out. Woohoo!
Beauty and the Bees Honey Soap Bar – I am not a fan of bar soap but I gave this one a go anyway. It was a beautiful product that left me feeling clean and smelling great, although my skin felt a little dry after use. Nothing a layer of moisturiser couldn't fix though, so it didn't concern me too much.
Suvana Natural Paw Paw & Acai Balm – I LOVE this. As Winter is fast approaching in Australia, my lips are starting to feel the effects more and more. I have always loved Paw Paw balms and when I saw this one in the box I couldn’t wait to try it. This balm doesn’t feel as greasy as other Paw Paw balms, it is incredibly moisturising, lasts a while on the lips and has a great, tolerable taste to it. I’m definitely getting another tube of this!
Moo Goo Milk Protein, Coconut, Jojoba & Olive Oil Hair Treatment – This sample size was a little too small to get a decent review from as it didn't cover much of my hair, but it did leave my ends feeling smooth, soft and revitalised.
Vegesorb Face and Body Moisturiser – I was a little weary before using this as I’m not a fan of moisturisers that double as face and body as sometimes they can be quite thick, greasy and not gentle enough for my sensitive skin. This product definitely didn't leave me thinking that! You only need a tiny bit of this as a little goes a long way, but it made my skin look great and felt so soft in the morning. It even dried to a matte finish, yes please!
Sanctum Face Exfoliator – I am always sceptical of exfoliators as some are quite harsh containing large abrasive beads that leave my skin feeling tender and raw. I still wanted to give this product a go and considering it was a natural exfoliant, I thought why not! The product feels smooth and non-abrasive and when I began cleansing my face, it felt this way too. It removed all my makeup, didn’t break me out and didn't leave my skin bright red afterwards. This is a rare occurrence after using exfoliators that's for sure. I will be purchasing this one in a full size and it was kind to my skin.
Wotnot Facial Wipes – Face wipes, face wipes, face wipes. Some I have tried have been soooo dry that they just pull and hurt my skin, whilst others break me out. There is a very small selection that actually tick the boxes for me although I need to sell a kidney if I want to regularly purchase them. When I opened the packet I was delighted to feel how moist they were, and when I pulled one out it was thick! So far so good. I began removing my makeup which worked a treat, it completely removed a full face and waterproof mascara with minimal rubbing and didn’t break me out or leave my skin red. Hooray! I’ll definitely be getting these again.
Overall, I am incredibly impressed with the outcome of the products in this box and can’t wait to see what is in next months’ box. If you have tried these products, I’d love to know your thoughts on them!
