Hair & Me - Intense Repair Mask
Over the years I haven't shown much love to my hair through the excessive use of heat tools and continuously dying my hair to try and cover up that time I thought dying my hair bright red would be a good idea...
As time progressed, I'm now at a stage where I use heat tools on my hair approximately once a month and have stopped dying it which has allowed my hair to now be 100% natural, hooray! I'm lucky to have naturally straight hair, although it's very flat and can get quite frizzy, sigh.
I was incredibly lucky enough to be contacted by an Australian company called Hair & Me to review their brand new Intense Repair Mask. This mask states that it is a "100% natural pre-shampoo, intense repair hair mask is designed to offer your hair UV & heat protection, soothe dry & irritated scalps as well as stimulate blood flow to encourage natural hair growth, prevent hair loss plus moisturise & strengthen while offering a soothing & calming peppermint scent". With claims that amazing, how could I say no? Within a few days I received my mask and I couldn't wait until it was home from work so I could use it. I was a little excited you could say!
When I opened the packet and poured the contents in my hand I noticed and felt that it was quite oily and had little spots, which looks like exfoliating beads through it. It was quite an interesting substance to put through my hair but I persisted. Once in, I twirled my hair up in a bun, took a selfie left it for 15 minutes.
Once it was time to wash out I had to give my hair a good scrub as after the first shampoo I could still feel some oily residue. On the packet it states to wash out with two shampoos and a conditioner, so I just followed the instructions, towel dried my hair and let it air dry over night. The next morning I woke up to beautiful, shiny, silky smooth hair that felt so soft and didn't knot as much as my hair usually would. Brushing my hair was a dream and it was visibly less frizzier.
